SPACE TREATMENT

The new space is dedicated to communication and advertising in Barcelona, which attends SCPF, Mr. John Sample and Sofa group. Further, to give to these space more sustainable and efficient, the empty areas can be used by another companies or/and communication professionals or related disciplines. The Club is open beyond the strict office schedule and have spaces for events, presentations, co-workings and even a bar which all Barcelonès (people from Barcelona) can join and enjoy it.

 

Being keep update versus being respectful to the ancient, it is a starting point. We are completely thoughtful about the elderly thoughts and at the same time to highlight the new and fresh. We mixed all as a beautiful aesthetic dance. We have been tried to intervene as less as possible although, the interventionist decisions have been made after a carefully evaluation studying the benefits which these decisions will cause about the building uses.

 

About carpentry, rest rooms and another equipment, the main interventions are focused on demolish the part of the first floor to create a double height where the most public space of the building will be the focal point.

 

The large new area extends the Club's public space, which can be used from exhibitions, workshops, conferences or even yoga classes. In the perimeter of this new square, called Arena Club, a metal structure is created and covered with perforated sheet, which appears as a library, catwalks and staircases as well, in these last level, a theater box with a large walkway equipped with a bench covering the Arena Club. Thank to this emptiness and walkways, the visitors would see with different points what happens in the Arena’s Club center.

 

Located in this double space, the Grand Stair is the main piece of these and connects the two main floors. Its surface it will be used as amphitheater or similar uses. In its later face, there is a bar which it will be opened to neighborhood. The Minibar is a place for welcoming and greeting the Club visitors and they could participate in any of its public activities. This is located on Calatrava street and porch will connect the two current yards. As well as, The bar and the kitchens are embedded under the Grand Stair. The rest of the space are distributed by tables which generate the appropriate atmosphere according to the use and its surrounded by vegetation, then could be suitable for work or enjoy just enjoying a nice horchata.

 

On the first floor, the Grand Stair rises and creates the Tibidabo. Tibidabo in its outside place invites you to enjoy the views nevertheless, its interior part bring you a large meeting room.

 

In the other side of Arena club rises the Henhouse, this is a vertical structure with different heights which works as a nexus of communications between the floors. Also, inside the Henhouse have different areas: there is the Penthouse, which have a large meeting room. A different part called El Bud is a place for brainstorming. Finally, there you could see a fascinating infinity pool, which it is suspended in the air.
